Auditability becomes table stakes
Archives, logs, traces and anomaly alerts become standard features, so that what a platform or an agent did can be reconstructed.
The pattern so far
Since June 2026 platforms have been adding the means to reconstruct what happened: message archives, email archiving for compliance, user IDs in agent logs, end-to-end traces of connector calls, isolated agent sandboxes, identity-resolution logs and journey anomaly alerts. The pattern has been confirmed every month since July, across engagement platforms, CDPs and AI vendors.
Trajectory
Month by month
- Confirmed Reconstructed
Treasure AI exposed identity-resolution logs, recording evicted identifiers and excluded key pairs, AJO added a Journey Anomaly Detected alert, and OpenAI published a framework and six reports on model misalignment in production.
- Confirmed Reconstructed
Gemini Enterprise added end-to-end tracing for data connectors, with spans for tool execution and connector invocation, and Treasure AI isolated every agent chat in its own sandbox, stating openly that files written outside work folders had been accumulating where no file browser could see them.
- Confirmed Reconstructed
Gemini Enterprise started logging user IDs with agent logs, and Tealium added an Anthropic data source so that prompts and model responses pass through the CDP.
- Emerging Reconstructed
Bloomreach added a two-year messages archive and Salesforce shipped Email Archiving to the Email Message object for audit and compliance, a week apart.
