MarTech Watch: Week 41, 2026

Week 41, 2026
Coverage window 2 – 8 October 2026.

For the interpretation of this week, and why rollout, the order and pace at which an agent gets autonomy, is becoming part of the product, see the companion essay: Weekly MarTech Signals That Matter to Me: Part 23, Week 41. This page is the record; the essay is the read.

This week’s record

Iterable made consent-based email open tracking generally available: once a project turns it on, the open-tracking pixel goes into marketing email only for recipients whose consent field is exactly true.

  • Iterable also brought SMS into Send Time Decisioning and renamed its Optimization features to Decisioning. It says open-rate metrics will soon be calculated only on sends where the pixel was injected.
  • Insider brought App Frames to its React Native SDK 9.0.0 and Flutter SDK 5.3.0, added Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI support, and published its Agent One documentation, including three autonomy modes that can be set per use case and channel.
  • Adobe Journey Optimizer made custom outbound channels and the LINE channel in orchestrated campaigns generally available.
  • Marketo Engage’s MCP operations page now lists smart list create and update operations, and the New UI status moved to “General Availability by mid-October”.
  • OpenAI added conversion-data integrations for ChatGPT Ads with Hightouch, Tealium and LiveRamp, and Tealium updated its ChatGPT Ads Measurement Pixel with advanced conversion matching.

Late captures in this edition. Adobe Journey Optimizer dated two Direct Mail items 30 September that the previous edition recorded as coming soon: the audience limit rises from 3 million to 100 million profiles, and files over roughly 20 GB split automatically. Klaviyo logged an “MCP: Unsupported Tasks” entry on 30 September, recording tasks its MCP server cannot complete. Optimove’s September 2026 notes (21 September): Overlay Messaging replacing web pop-ups and in-app messages for new pop-up customers, branded short links for SMS, and Zero Copy target groups on Databricks in closed beta. HubSpot’s September 2026 product roundup (1 October), including an AI Growth Bundle pairing Starter with ChatGPT and global email domain blocking for forms.

How this is compiled. Each edition is assembled from official vendor release notes, changelogs and newsrooms, plus regulator publications. An AI assistant does the first-pass scan, reading release notes in a browser or through vendor-published Markdown and feed routes, and I review and edit before publishing. Items are checked against the primary source; anything I could not confirm is marked as such. Dates and statuses reflect what was published as of the current-as-of date and can change.

Corrections and method notes. Spot an error? Tell me and I will fix it in the next edition. The previous edition listed Adobe Journey Optimizer’s Direct Mail limit increase and file splitting as coming soon; the release notes now date both 30 September. An aggregator dated the Braze and AWS agreement 5 October; Braze’s own release is dated 29 September.
