Week 30, 2026
Coverage window 17–23 July 2026.
For the interpretation of this week, why a CDP buying a CEP matters and what the agentic CDP does to your governance boundary, see the companion essay: Weekly MarTech Signals That Matter to Me: Part 13, Week 30. This page is the record; the essay is the read.
This week’s record
The through-line is the collapse of the data layer and the action layer, pushed this week from three directions at once: protocol, runtime, and (in a deal caught late) ownership.
- 6sense put its GTM intelligence behind an MCP server (open beta, 17 July), and Adobe Journey Optimizer’s July release added five MCP server tools, so MCP kept spreading as a distribution surface.
- Iterable shipped Journeys Live Data (21 July), fetching live external data at decision time (mirrored by AJO’s new file-based targeting that loads an audience at execution without storing it), plus Templates as Variants.
- HubSpot added an in-platform Image Editor, Market Segments (private beta), and a transactional SMS SKU.
- Sprinklr detailed its Summer ‘26 release; Braze’s next release was expected ~23 July but was not yet published at scan time.
- BlueConic acquired Blueshift, a cross-channel CEP, to build an agentic CDP that decides and executes across every channel in one system. This is the structural version of the trend, but it was announced 17 June and is captured here as a late M&A catch-up, not a this-week item.

How this is compiled. Each edition is assembled from official vendor release notes, changelogs, and corporate newsrooms, with AI assistance for the first-pass scan, then reviewed and edited by me before publishing. Items are checked against the primary source; anything I could not confirm is flagged inline. Dates and status reflect what was published as of the current-as-of date above and can change.
Corrections and method notes. Found something inaccurate or out of date? Tell me and I will fix it in the next edition. This edition includes a one-cycle-late capture: the BlueConic acquisition of Blueshift, announced 17 June, surfaced through corporate-newsroom monitoring after the earlier release-notes-based scans. Braze’s July release page was still a 404 at scan time and will be captured next edition.
