MarTech Watch: Week 37, 2026

Week 37, 2026
Coverage window 4–10 September 2026.

For the interpretation of this week, and why three platforms answering the same question in three different places matters more than any one of the answers, see the companion essay: Weekly MarTech Signals That Matter to Me: Part 19, Week 37. This page is the record; the essay is the read.

This week’s record

Three of the nine CEP platforms published what their agent may actually do, and they put the answer in three different places: the tool list, the tenant, and the API.

  • Klaviyo Headless launched at K:BOS on 9 September: more than 260 MCP tools callable from Claude, ChatGPT or any AI system, with the vendor stating that an agent can “read, write, and go live the same way you would inside Klaviyo, without anyone opening Klaviyo at all.” No permission model, session lifetime or revocation path accompanies it.
  • Braze’s remote MCP server is now fully documented, closing a gap this record has carried for five editions. The published table lists 71 tools, 34 of them write, including launch_campaign and six delete tools, bounded by a no-PII rule, by the dashboard user’s own permissions, and by revocation that applies on the next request. Customers using IP allowlisting are excluded.
  • HubSpot enforced the tenant’s rules on the wire. From the /2026-09/ API version shipped on 8 September, admin-configured validation rules apply to all CRM API write paths, and pipeline delete endpoints validate references by default.
  • An Adobe Campaign customer deadline passed inside the window. Release 8.9.3 required external URLs used in delivery content and attachments to be added to the instance allow list by 5 September 2026 to avoid impact to affected deliveries.
  • Klaviyo shipped consent-conditional email click tracking on 8 September, the second of the nine in a month to ship a tracking control framed as a data-protection mechanism, after Adobe Campaign’s Web UI open-tracking toggle.
  • The FTC rescinded its 2021 Policy Statement on Breaches by Health Apps and Other Connected Devices on 9 September. The Health Breach Notification Rule, updated in 2024 to cover health apps and connected devices directly, stands.

No changes this week (scanned, nothing net-new)

Scanned for the 4–10 September window with no net-new release:

  • ActiveCampaign: newsroom scanned, no in-window item.
  • Adobe Campaign Web User Interface: page stamped 4 September, August ‘26 release of 18 August still current.
  • Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B: page stamped 4 September, 2026.8 of 14 August still current.
  • Adobe Marketo Engage: page stamped 8 September, August ‘26 release still current, September ‘26 due 25 September. Email Designer Script Builder still “Coming soon”, fourth consecutive edition.
  • Adobe Real-Time CDP / Experience Platform: 18 August still current. The destinations catalog data-type filter, stated as rolling out through the first week of September, remains unconfirmed.
  • Bloomreach Engagement: 1.317 of 2 September still current; 1.318 due 16 September on a fortnightly cadence.
  • Braze release cycle: 20 August still current. On a strict four-week cadence, nothing was due; next release 17 September.
  • Google Antigravity: 2.12.2 of 3 September, no in-window release. (Also in the AI Watch.)
  • Insider iOS SDK: 16.0.0 of 31 August still current. None of the four cross-platform bridges has received App Frames: React Native 8.1.0 (5 Aug), Flutter 5.2.0 (20 Aug), Cordova 4.0.0 (16 Apr), Expo undated.
  • Iterable: August’s Monthly Release of 18 August still current.
  • Optimove: August 2026 is the newest What’s New; September not yet published on a monthly cadence.
  • Pega: newsroom scanned, no in-window item.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement: last change week of 28 August.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next: last change week of 30 August.
  • Salesforce Account Engagement, Marketing Intelligence, Loyalty Management: “No changes since the initial publication.”
  • Salesforce Personalization: the two entries added the week of 17 August remain the newest; no September section.
  • Sprinklr: newsroom scanned, no in-window item.
  • Tealium: 2 September entries still newest.
  • Zeta Global: newsroom scanned, no in-window item.

Scanned but unreachable, reported as source failures rather than vendor silence:

  • Segment (Twilio): community.segment.com no longer resolves in DNS, and segment.com/release-notes/ redirects into it. A replacement route was found during this run: the Twilio changelog filtered to the seven Segment product tags, which produces a stable, bookmarkable URL. The route works but the feed carries nothing newer than 21 January 2026, so Segment is recorded here as monitored with an unconfirmed feed rather than as a vendor with no news.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit): no usable release-notes route, fifth edition.
  • Cordial: both monitored routes return 404, second confirmation.
  • Insider platform-level release notes: the academy carries SDK changelogs only; web, email and panel-side changes remain untracked.

Watching next (Week 38)

  • Braze release on 17 September, and whether the MCP tool inventory appears in it.
  • Bloomreach 1.318 on 16 September.
  • Twilio: no new Functions Classic from 13 September, migration window to 26 October; Event Streams US East regional IP 3.80.20.0/25 from 15 September.
  • Marketo September ‘26 release on 25 September, and whether Script Builder ships with documentation.
  • Salesforce Agentforce Platform Enabled by Default: the rolling window into existing orgs began in September and the release note has not been updated. Which orgs, when, and whether opting out is supported.
  • Klaviyo Compliance Hub: named once alongside Headless with no detail, and it is the only governance artefact in the announcement.
  • Insider bridges: whether React Native, Flutter, Cordova or Expo receive App Frames.
  • Adobe Experience Platform destinations catalog data-type filter: third edition unconfirmed.
  • Garante open-tracking pixel compliance term, 29 October, now paired with two shipped vendor controls.

How this is compiled. This record is built from official release notes, changelogs and vendor newsrooms, read as rendered pages in a browser, with an AI first-pass scan followed by human review and editing. Every item is checked against a primary source before it appears here, and aggregator listings are used to detect items, never to date or cite them. Anything not confirmed against a primary source is flagged inline. Dates and status are as of the current-as-of date above and can change.

Corrections and method notes. Corrections are welcome and late-captured items are logged transparently rather than backdated. This edition carries five late captures from 1 to 3 September that no earlier edition reported: Klaviyo First-Party ID, Adobe Journey Optimizer’s Content Management MCP tools and Analyze Journey Anomalies skill, Treasure AI’s Snowflake query tags, and the 6sense MCP server. Three aggregator date problems were caught and corrected before publication: CDW / Lovelytics listed 9 September against a vendor date of 2 September; Klaviyo Headless listed 10 September against 9 September; and a Tealium listing of 10 September that traces to a third-party roadmap article rather than to any vendor event. The Braze MCP documentation is entered without a date because no canonical publication date could be established; the remote server itself was announced on 23 July 2026. Two source failures are reported as failures rather than as vendor silence: Segment’s release-notes domain no longer resolves, and Mailchimp still has no route. A replacement Segment route was identified before publication, the Twilio changelog filtered to its seven Segment product tags, and it is live but carries nothing dated later than January 2026, so Segment is listed as monitored with an unconfirmed feed. One method note: the local file shell was unavailable for this entire run because of the Windows defect Anthropic documented on 10 September, so this edition was compiled in a cloud workspace.
